Joe Anderson Taylor, 79 of Calhoun passed away Wednesday, March 26, 2014 in a Monroe County healthcare facility. He was a member of Bellefounte Baptist Church and had retired from Vestal Manufacturing. He was preceded in death by his parents; Marshall and Martha Taylor. Survivors include his wife; Jessie Taylor of Calhoun, two sons; Bobby and wife Teresa Taylor of Philadelphia, TN, Donnie Taylor of Calhoun TN, two daughters; Charlotte Taylor of Cleveland, Brenda Taylor of Calhoun, TN, two sisters; Bernice Wade, Elizabeth Swallows, two brothers; James Taylor, Johnny Taylor, four grandchildren and twelve great grandchildren.

Beverly Miller, 79, of Ringgold, GA passed away Monday, March 24, 2014 at her home. She was of the Catholic Faith and loved the outdoors, gardening, animals, artwork and an avid reader. She was preceded in death by parents; Lambert George Schulze, Ione Pauline Schulze and husband; David Elmer Miller. Survivors include three sons; David Ryan Miller of Mountain Home, Idaho, Paul Miller of Ringgold, GA., Christopher Shawn (Theresa) Miller of East Ridge, TN., one daughter; Catherine Cuzzort of Jacksonville, FL., grandchildren; Chadwick, Brett, Amanda, Shawn, great-grandchildren: Wynter, Raven; and one sister; Barbara Lotspeich.

Frank Paul Westwood, Jr. 85 of Cleveland passed away Wednesday, March 12, 2014 at his residence. He was Chief Petty Officer of Damage Control with the United States Coast Guard for 36 years, worked for FPL for 36 years throughout the south Florida region. He was a member of several organizations of Belle Glade: Lions Club Port Committee, Elks Club, Chamber of Commerce, Cemetery Committee of Pt. Mayaca, President of the Ham Radio Club. Frank, originally from Lake Okeechobee, Fl, moved to Cleveland TN in 2012. He is survived by his wife of 44 years, Barbara Vorisek Westwood. His son: Frank Paul Westwood III (Jodie) of Cleveland, TN, his daughter: Ellen Kay Stevens (Rick), his sister: Helen Scotten. Beloved nieces and nephews: Johnny Scotten, Sara (Michael) Warren, Joey (Pattie) Scotten, Grace (Bryan) Duffy, Delores (Robert) Lupo, Darlene (Marty) Kotthaus, several grandchildren and great grandchildren. Frank loved people and was always involved in his community. His memory will always be cherished.

Her sister, Oletha Vaughn and brother in law, Tommy Vaughn also preceded her in death. She worked as a beautician and loved to buy and sell antiques. She was of the Baptist faith. Survivors include her husband, Lynwood Lawson; sons, Lyn Lawson and wife Melissa of Cleveland; Heath Lawson and wife Heather of Ooltewah; one grandson, Ryan Lawson; brother Lester Cartwright, Jr. of Sanford, Florida and nieces and nephews also survive.

Florence Marie Pearson Martin, age 71, a resident of Cleveland, passed away Saturday morning, February 15, 2014, in a local hospital. She was born in Greasy Creek and had lived most of her life in Bradley County. She attended Graceway Chapel in Cleveland and enjoyed spending time with her family especially her grandkids. She is preceded in death by her parents, Rev. Cecil B and Ruth Campbell Pearson; sister, Genene Shaw, and husband Richard Martin. She is survived by her children, Wade Stewart of Cleveland, Todd Stewart of Dayton, Scot Stewart and wife Ann of Cleveland, and Etta Johnston and husband Don of Cleveland; brother Glenn Pearson and wife Betty of Cleveland; sister Barbara Craig and husband Joe of Ocoee; grandchildren, Jeremy Stewart, Kristen Torres, Trenton Johnston, Chassie Hooker, Kelly Reich, Tara Cavett, and Shawnda Stewart. David Frank Knoop, age 75, a resident of Cleveland, passed away Tuesday, February 11, 2014 at a Chattanooga healthcare facility. The son of the late Rueben and Lena Rappel Knoop, Dave was born in Baraboo, WI and has lived in Bradley County for the past 16 years. He was retired from Arch Chemicals after 36 years of service, and served his country as a member of the United States Air Force. His passions in life were sailing, hunting and fishing. He is survived by his loving wife of 51 years, Nora Johnell Knoop of Cleveland; daughter, Stacy Fahringer of Cleveland; grandsons, Jason Fahringer of Cleveland and Lawson Slatton of South Carolina; and sister, Gwen Fraust of Blairsville, WI. Several nieces, nephews, and other extended family members and friends also survive.
